"I
have been blessed all my life by being surrounded by the world's
finest musicians. Barry Sparks has it all; virtuosity, spirit,
attitude, a vast musical arsenal from which to deliver scorching
emotional thunder for my sacred music, and just as important as all
that, his bass tone is perfect, no matter what the song may demand.
His Barry Sparks bass guitar is the beast worthy of NugeJams." |

Don Dokken -
"Over the years
I've owned many basses, since I am mainly a guitarist I like a bass
that it is easy to play and need them to respond without struggling
to maintain an even sound, this all depends on the pickups, quality
of the wood, and most important to me the neck shape and contour.
Like Barry, Dokken has been endorsed over the years by mostly high
end and custom bass manufactures, which has been great since they
are very expensive to buy, as most musicians know it is becoming
increasingly hard for company's to find quality woods such as old
growth mahogany's in large quantities, and that is why most new
basses you find at a store do not have the deep rich sounds you find
in an old bass. Your only option is to buy a custom built bass which
cost $3,000 or more. That being said, I'd would rather own one
awesome bass or guitar than several affordable ones, these are the
instruments that we will play for a lifetime. When Barry told me he
was going to try and design along with his brother the perfect bass
I said OK can't wait to play it in 5 years or so, and 4 years later
here it is. I was truly blown away not only by the sound and feel,
but the look of the bass. Barry and I have played together for many
years now and are close friends as well, I was able to watch his
"Sparks' bass go through its growing pains with constant design
changes until he and his brother were happy with what I feel are the
3 most important elements of an instrument; finding the best wood,
pickups, and balance for performing. I confess I am amazed how great
it turned out. A large commercial company could never manufacture a
bass of this quality without charging a fortune for them. If you
want a bass that you will play for the rest of your life, this is
it. I hear that guitar center has basses for around $299.00. The
"Sparks Bass" is for serious musicians only."

"My SPARKS bass has
exceeded my expectations both in quality, and live and studio
sound. I have owned many basses over my 20 years in the business,
everything from B.C. Rich, Steinberger, Ibanez, Fender, Schecter,
and on, but on a side by side comparison, the SPARKS bass had super
clarity and punch over the others. I love the solid neck through
body and Ebony fret board. A lot of love and personal attention go
into these unique and hand crafted instruments. They are not a mass
produced cookie cutter run of the mill company, but a professional
grade high end product. My experience with the SPARKS is they will
do whatever it takes to make sure you are 100% satisfied. When you
get a SPARKS instrument, you are not a number on a receipt, but
become part of the elite SPARKS family." |
